Stretch Woven Upper
The Wave Horizon 8 uses a stretch woven material to provide a sock-like fit and ultimate comfort. The ultra-lightweight material is highly breathable allowing air to circulate the shoes whilst removing built-up heat and vapour, that occurs during exercise, keeping feet fresh and cool. With Mizuno's integrated DynamotionFit technology, the shoe is tailored to have a glove-like fit.

The engineering of it means that it also adapts to your gait cycle, again making it feel personalised. Located in the midfoot the shoes incorporate AeroHug mesh which wraps around the foot creating a secure fit around your arch. The AeroHug technology eliminates the space between the foot and the shoe helping to improve your running cycle. A traditional lacing system will allow you to secure the shoe to a comfortable and personalised fit. Completing the upper is a soft, padded ankle collar which reduces the risk of irritation caused by rubbing and chafing.

Mizuno Enerzy Nxt and Enerzy Midsole
Featuring a dual midsole, the shoes feature Mizuno's latest bio-based technology, Mizuno Enerzy Nxt, directly under your foot, this midsole foam provides an extremely soft and bouncy feeling. Mizuno Enerzy Nxt is the next-generation material it's ultra soft, responsive and assists in the next level of performance. This technology is lighter than previous Enerzy midsoles, featuring greater cushioning and enabling more output so you can keep pushing for much longer.

The midsole foam also includes sugarcane-based material, making this shoe better for the planet. This has been combined with Mizuno Enerzy, which provides amazing cushioning, comfort and a bouncy feel that will propel you with each step. Included in the midsole is Mizuno Wave Technology, wider than the previous iteration this guarantees stability, controls shock absorption and enhances cushioning. The Wave's unique shape will absorb all energy from the strike of the foot on the pavements, where it is dispersed. This will protect the feet from heavy impacts. Adding to the cushioning, the shoes include a removable insole for instant step-in comfort.

X10 Outsole
The outsole of the Wave Horizon 8 is made with X10 the most durable carbon rubber that allows for longer wear in high-impact areas and supplements traction at heel strike. This helps lessen the impact on the knees and joints, allowing for a more comfortable ride and optimising gait efficiency.

The outsole also ensures maximum grip and traction for a firm, assured footing so you can run with confidence and push yourself to the limit, time and time again. The forefoot flex grooves and flex controllers then work together to continue the smooth forward motion resulting in an efficient fluid motion that allows runners to harness their power.
